Yes Vic but no team can do that not even the big boys in the Prem let alone part time players who train together for 2 hours twice a week. You will get good games and bad games and as I have said that does not say that they have not given their all.
I do not know anyone who goes to work every day who gives 100% effort every single day. You have good days and bad, there are days when you fee low, days when you tried hard even gave 100% but things did not come off quite the way you wanted. it's life. I have come away from football some times moaning about the way the game has gone and a player who has not played so well but you get over it and up you go for another 90 minutes. Unfortunately some can only support a winning team, which is way the gate drops when you loose a couple, trouble is they still want the money spent on getting better players.
Support for me is through thick and thin, good and bad and this season I think we will see a lot of good games and I see us being a top 5 side.
My glass is more than half full, never ever half empty.
Buggy will be waiting on Tuesday Vic.

I had a near 5 hour round trip and over 230 miles to see Dover Rugby 1st team take on Chichester on Saturday. we were
7-3 down at half time and playing well. We lost 41-8 in the end as Chichester over ran us in the second half. The fact they lost heavily wont stop me following them home and away this season (over 2500 miles) as I know they always give everything and appreciate the support me and my wife give them. We have a few new players so they'll need time to gel with the rest of the team. Home game this week against Sidcup so why not come along, its free to watch, the bar will be open and you'll get a team giving there all from start to finish.

Good Mr Shilson, you should have picked my son Wayne Matcham, I am told he is still with the club. And Harry I hope I gave it 100% eachday at work and when boxing one had to,I lost some but still done my best it was just as hard not to win as was to win.And that is what I would like to see at Dover.

HARRY;
To portray the diffrence between full time work and dover football club is a strange way to look at the club.
Now, let me again make a few pointers, as, the club should alweays be open to critical comments and the board/club looking at ways to improve.
£13 in todays climate is a lot of dosh, and whilst not wanting to look back to much on last season, and thankfully the club did make changes, there were players strolling around and picking up pay packets at the end of the month.
the manager now has his own side in place, and it appears from the eastleight result things are going better and results are being churned out against some very good sides.
having viewed eastleighs web site, there fans were clear eastleigh threw 3 points away, they took the lead, hit the crossbar twice, but sat back on the lead, and dover pressed forward, getting then the 3 goals required.
the eastleigh fans were impressed also with the 2 big lads dover had up front.
so im always hopeful dover is going in the right direction, that said, win, lose or draw im a dover supoporter, of course we always want better, and we moan
but in the heart im a dover supporter through and through whatever the outcome

I think he plays for the 2nd's or 3rd's and I follow the 1st team so wouldn't usually catch him playing. If he happens to be playing on the other pitch when the 1st's are at home I'll see what I can do.

Vic I am not sure Barcelona could hold your attention for the duration of a game, perhaps come up at half time, get in free and maybe not reach the point of moaning

Audere est facere.

He played in the first for some years, when he was younger. No Mr Martin I would not do that,I have been going up there off and on 60or more years and a part from having one free ticket this year I have always paid.I am right behind the club and would give it funds if I had it,And what I say is not moaning and it is a issue with the playing staff but only when I see that they are not giving it 100%.The make up of the club is great and one if not the best grounds you could aske for. And each year they add more.

. As for Barcelona,I only watch english clubs, and this week I might be going up to see Stoke play. They also have good fans and a good ground.

Howard,
The team manager writes the reports for the website to which my photos get added so I could copy and paste that with the photos on here if thats ok.
