4200 people turned up today. Most of whom probably won't be back anytime soon.

Dover 2 - Eastbourne 5!
No wonder Jake Leber (59) remained both tight-lipped AND ashen-faced.
The most interesting thing was the referee.
According to one of the Dover supporters I spoke to, he had been born illegitimate AND he was blind, yet he appeared to referee the match without too much difficulty ...........................

If Dover can pull a draw out of this one at the weekend it would be of great help, but I DOUBT IT,I will be there to see them but they need to play at their very best to get a draw I can not see a win .

Letter in Guardian 19/01/06
It’s not only north and south that are relative concepts (Letters, 15 January) – so is one’s country … at least on football terraces. As a proud lifelong supporter of Dover Athletic, I can note that away fans (especially from Maidstone United) have been known to chant “You’re French and you know you are”.
