 - I think mixed messages are now coming out of the club.
Directly after the defeat on radio Kent the chairman spoke of budget cuts for next season and whether or not the manager will still be in place come the start of next season .

The manager later spoke of a chat with the chairman and his plans for a complete clear out and building a side good enough to compete in this league.

Dover has always suffered from lack of sponsorship and poor decisions at times.

Indeed the chairman wants £3m for the club, I'm led to understand he was offered £2.m but then increased it to 3.

None of this payback was mentioned when he took over the club.

Although it has a small fan base it could be a lot higher it became a real community focused club.

Onto last Saturday, considering there was a chance Dover had to win to stay up(luckily other results meant they didnt) it was another poor performance .

This is now three seasons of things are going to change, just like(if he's here next season)
The present manager is saying of a clear out.

Because of lack of sponsors Dover can't bring in players as they all have agents! And costs are high even at this part time level!.

Thoughts are going around about , would it have been better to have been relegated and play at a level i t s more likely to be able to afford.

The chairman in interview putting money In(but wants it back!) And really the club needs sponsorship to move forward , or decide to drop down.

I think i t has had its years punching above its weight in the national league, I wonder what the future does hold.

Announcing ,(chairman)at pre season it couldn't afford to be promoted due to wage hikes May be was not a wise decision.
And that the club would be in top four budgets in the league which was clearly not the case.

You do wonder if May be a community model , run by supporters of such like could be an option?
But until the chairman decides to leave that doesn't look like an option .

Watching Dover since the 60s has had its high and lows, the most important is that town has a football club competing at as higher level that it can afford.

 - Terrible, you're right. -
Hardly any of the away games fall right. Can't see me being at Crabble until the Boxing Day "derby" unless there's a huge turn around at the club.
 -
And the club have already lost a player that'd announced as being signed to a club in the league below.

Clubs looking very unprofessional at mo .

Why would you announce a signing before he was actually registered with league.

Have we reached 5 signings yet ?

Another relegation battle looming I fear

 - As I see it, there's two ways of going about things; you either throw money at it like Yeovil will, or you recruit hungry young players sprinkled with a bit of experience and hope for the best. We'll be in the latter category for sure, but that's ok. A solid midtable finish and everyone will be happy.

I'm not sure your following the club?

 Budget smaller this season
Was already lower than most in league

So that in itself won't bring in experienced players .

Youth is good in blending in,but even at this level in not sure youth will be enough for survival in the league

 Another tough season ahead .

I will take not being relegated a success !

 - Myles Judd another player who was announced to have joined Dover
 Has signed for Hemel Hempstead

Today's game against gills lots of youngsters
But it really looks like we will be fighting off relegation again

Small things like cash cade tickets

 No winners announced

 Everyone asking so who won?

 Just makes club look bad

Obviously other clubs are offering more

 - More than a striker, keeper, box to box midfielder, we need a Chief Executive type figure. Sounds like Jim needs help.

 - Neil
I have supported them since 60s many away games as well , but we just look now unprofessional

Announcing players before they were signed with league in never known this before.

I will always support my home town club , but without some bigger funder I can only see the club going down the league's again .

of course Brundle is a new young manager but supporters have had three seasons in the relegation fights , budgets have been cut thus not able to compete with clubs even in this low league .

 - I thought that relegation might have been in our best interests last season. My theory being that it may have been better to bring the decline to a swift end/bottom out (with relegation), rather than to suffer another season of struggle and relegation.

I agree that the separation between Jim and Gomez has been of huge significance in terms of finance.

 - Two relegations in a row would have meant Parmenter could then finance even cheaper relegation from the "Ryman" Premier.

 - I'm trying to r recall if club ever looked this bad before .

Just the recent incidents making club look unprofessional in sure would make people think twice about signing .

We do need some positive news

 - A slight Parmenter mellowing after receiving a mini deputation from a few fans, including Mark Winter. -
A mini 5 game season ticket offer. With the number of shift workers in the town, this is something that has been requested for years.
