Please do not remove this post to the political page it is about what is wrote about myself in the DOVER EXPRESS BY MR David little.
It has not only become distressing to myself but my family also and means that I will pack up all what I am doing on the parish council and writing on any forum.
I will login still but not post.
This has nothing to do with being political even knowing I did do my best in UKIP as a member and chairman.
Never in my whole life have I read or seen such as I and my family and close friends have read in the paper today.
At first it came into my head to deal with it in the old Vic Matcham way and I had to take a step backwards to try and stop myself doing it.
I do not mind members of the public taking a shot at me as I have put myself in the firing line many times.
But this is taking it far beyond that with the name calling and what is wrote if you have not seen it please do and make up your own mine.
As I said I have said and done things in the pass that have upset some members of the public but never never have I said or wrote anything along the lines that have been said about myself.
I have for many years loved doing what I have done in Dover Working.Boxing. and taking part in many events such as the Boxing Day dip, D/boat racing and political and talking at meeting the list is long so will end now I have no wish to bore you.
And also loved my time writing on the Dover Forum I know what has happen is nothing to do with them but I feel it is the time to stop and end my time in the company of my family and close friend.
I will not say never post again but we will see.
But sad it has ended in this way.
Thank you for reading this post.

taken aback here as I have not purchased my copy of the express yet due to the extreme precipitation this afternoon.
a bit mystified as to how dover forum has to suffer for something that has no connection with us.

David has always said he would not stoop to personal attacks. This appears to be a change of policy. Whether you agree with Vic or not, he is a good man who has always stood up for Dover.

Would you be kind enough to elucidate peter?

No need Howard. I stand by what I say. I accept that there's an element of meeja exaggeration here but I think this attack on Vic is unwarranted.

post two.
Mr Mcsweeney by me posting still sooner or later like in the pass all this boil over on to the forum and it would not be fair or right that the other members would have to read it or take sides.
So by not posting a lot and only at times like now 0130hrs this will not happen and Mr Garstin thank you.

Pure character assasination. Not worthy of you David or UKIP.
Local politics has reached a new low.

I haven't read it yet, but it may well be counter-productive - character assassinations seldom work.
Until I read it, I won't say any more.

As usual, only half a story from Mr Matcham. I suggest Forumites read the article and do some background research before condemning Mr Little out of hand. If Mr Matcham was to be whiter than white, then no problem would have arisen...

I have read the article and have known both Vic and David for several years. I know David well enough to doubt that he actually wanted this article to appear and damage Vic or himself. I once came within a whisper of losing my job when an off-the-record comment to a journalist was published (but fortunately not attributed).

It is blatantly obvious to all that Mr Matcham is an egotistical, attention seeker.
Constantly seeking public office, yet with no public mandate to do so, polling a few votes here and there. First he's standing as 'x', then 'y', then he's not standing, then he is.
On the forum, he's leaving, then he isn't, then he is (ad infinitum), no doubt hoping that the bleeding hearts will plead with him not to go.
When he posts, he tells others not to follow up on his points, then continues to post.
Finally, he's been called out. It's a matter of record that he is holding funds that he isn't entitled to, yet refuses to return those funds.
Nothing stated in the article is untrue and the truth often hurts. As an ex-boxer, Mr Matcham should know better than most than sometimes you need to 'take one on the chin'.
I'll stand by for the inevitable slating from the bleeding hearts....

I do not buy the DE so can not comment on the article but Paul's comments seem fair.
Sorry Vic but when you voluntarily put yourself in the public eye you have to expect the negative.

If young Mr Rose is correct, then David will lose a few supporters over this. I note he has been quiet on the social media since the article came out. Nobody likes to see organisations washing their dirty linen in public.
