bad as it is i would hasten to add that residents in roads with small frontages should do more about weeds growing out of their front wall, i do mine and a neighbours which takes up about 30 seconds of my time every other week.
- 16 August 2013 20:05240919When we ran Blakes I used to spray all the weeds in Castle St between Dolphin Passage and Russell St with Roundup 3 or 4 times a year. It used to keep things clear, even Ian Farthing's frontage.

Couldn't agree more. I would pull weeds and sweep regardless of my neighbours input. I want my road to look good, not just my little patch. - 16 August 2013 20:37240925this is not as simple as it appears, park avenue seems to have back or front walls a fair distance from the houses and many of them seem to be converted into flats.
as the photo shows many of the weeds are on the other side of the pavement too unlike my roads and surrounds. - Jan Higgins

16 August 2013 20:46240927Salisbury Road at Frith Road end has Brambles, young elderberry branches and stinging nettles as well as numerous other weeds that encroach well over the pavement at the back of the old sorting office.
