I managed to wrestle this free from the 'spider' who paid an exceptionally quick visit after I posted it:
'Marek the Big Issue seller? Hardly a smart suit Howard, the trousers don't match the fluorescent jacket.'
Howard posed the question, I chose the wrong person, albeit deliberately, as a light hearted joke. No offence was intended to Colin(?) or indeed indicated within the wording.
If after reappraising this posting Keith and Eleanor H decide to delete their unwarranted comments, I will also be prepared to accept that this matter is closed.

Ha!
Problem solved, profess-er H: "The strain is plain, let lucidity reign."
Let any who would complain cite from the complained about post, then nought could be lost.

I feel you should be a man and come to the group under your true name.
This is the membership rules, why should it be different for you?
I look forward to debating politics with you ,drop the mask and enter

Jan, if you have problems uploading a photo, remember to put the wording:
.jpg immediately after the caption name.
Without it, many websites won't upload the photo.

doesn't work like that on here alex, after clicking add photo, you then go to insert image, after that choose file then click upload.
once you have done it a few times it becomes second nature.

You're right Keith, I should have used Robert but Bob either way around is the same and easier to spell.
I must confess that I know nothing about politics and I'm not particular interested in them either but I will watch with interest and who knows...........? A Deal?

I'm pretty sure you do have to use the .jpg on DF, Howard.
If the image already has .jpg, or .jpeg etc., there's no need to add it.
If I change a file name of a pic and it hasn't got one of these or similar endings, it won't upload unless I add it to the file name.

Keith Bibby wrote:Why don't we just have a set of rule if you over step you will be deleted
If your deleted 3 time of you go for a month ?
Plenty of low grade forums if you want the wild west .
Fight room is a good one.
I'll second you on this one KB with a slight adjustment; if you overstep the mark once there should be a ban on posting for 1 month.
Three times offenders should be banned entirely from the forum, because after one faux pas others must be treated as being deliberate within an intelligent community. thumbsup:

I think a month for a first deleting could be a bit tough although that might depend on the offence.
I agree completely with Bob's second point.

Mrs HIGGINS in this case it was the thing to do and I think the forum and treating it in the right way could have been alot longer than that with what was said. Will the person come back ?I do not know but they might not.

My mistake Jan, I should have said that I was suggesting that those penalties should apply to inappropriate posts, not just for deleting a post.
It would be useful though, if a member deleted a post a short note acknowledging this would also be a courteous thing to do.

Vic, I see we are back to formality and I was not referring to "this case" and anyway I did say it might depend on the offence.
To be completely honest if the culprit is who I think it is I will not exactly miss his contributions on here.

On my posting #26 on this thread there is a blue square with a question mark inside located towards the lower left hand corner. Is this some forum ritual akin to a secret handshake or just some key that I may have inadvertently activated with unknown consequences?
As a nosey newbie a sensible explanation would be appreciated.

It's a link, Bob.
I pressed the square in post 26 and strange things happened.
My alarm clock went off, even though usually posed for 8: 30 am.
Right now the doorbell is ringing ... could you delete it?

You trying to get me banned?
I got McAfee to have a look at it and it turned out be a fn 579927 Ukiplt, so if you did click on it you could find a ringing doorbell is the least of your problems.
