The top view is typical of the back of Whitfield at the moment, while the bottom view shows the main Sandwich Road heading for the Whitfield roundabout.

3 December 2010 19:3483119Great pictures Colin. You should have popped in for a cuppa as it looks like you probably passed my place. I recognise the post box at the corner of Nursery Lane, I am first left at Bewsbury Cross Lane towards the Post Office.
Then again maybe it is better that you didn't pop as I have got a stinking cold and you wouldn't want that on top of every thing else you have going on. - 3 December 2010 20:3783126Hi Alec, yes I did go up your road mate, and very nice it looked too. I got a few pics up there, including this one and the One Stop Stores, though it was a bit slushy round there. It would be nice to have a tea with you, but I`ll go along with what you said and wait till your colds gone, though I think there`s quite alot of it about from what I read on here.

This was the scene at St Mary`s this afternoon at 15.45, very few shoppers around on yet another cold, but at least sunny day. Did anyone get that nice red sunset around this time? I only saw it from the bus. Still plenty of patches of snow laying around.
