09:1477634Wonderful photo of you and Dame Vera Ian - a picture to treasure.
Good to see lots of forumites.
A great day indeed. Glad DHB didn't arrest her for trespassing !!
Missed her at the Yacht Club, we had some stuff to do after the Sea Sports Centre and by the time we got to the Club, it was about 3.45 pm and Dame Vera had gone, stayed for an hour or so chatting, which was good.
A great day for Dover and everyone involved seemed to enjoy it.
Well done to Peter for supplying lunch - Dover sole ! of course.

09:5477644I asked the question yesterday Sue, though not on the forum. I`m not sure whether it all interests her or not, but then at her age, she should be enjoying life as opposed to getting involved in politics. PAULINE, nice picture, and the only one I`ve seen from that angle.

00:5077756She did not make a charge. Shame on all of you who harboured that thought. She did get lunch on the house but if there is a person among you who would begrudge her a Dover sole in Dover, shame on you too.
She did tell me that Dover has a special place in her heart and that she was bloody cold in the wind up on the balcony on the seafront. What a grand lady. I feel privileged and humbled to have been there.
