Howard/Chris - have you gone through all the threads that Paul Wells's posted on and deleted his postings ?
If you are looking in Paul, I had a meeting with the General Manager of the MCD this week and asked about the Cowgate Hill properties and as you say, planning permission was passed in 2009, but it was afterwards found to be structurally unsound. The permission for demolition was only for the single-storey rear extensions.

O.k. Thanks Howard.
I thought there were some of Paul's recent postings on this thread.

I noticed today that these old houses had gone. How long ago did that happen?

Thanks.
I presume there's some untouched history under there?

There's probably some untouched history under almost anywhere in the Dover Town area Karlos.

Untouched, almost anywhere?
But not in this part of the town, where there is known to be Roman remains, etc?

Walked up Cowgate Hill and Albany Place to the "64 Steps" recently and noticed that nothing had happened on the site of the demolished properties.
A typical Dover sight.
