Each party wouldn't stand scrutiny on this issue in my opinion anyone remember the Cash for honours scandle. One of the many reasons I personally dispise most traditional political organizations from any side the the idealogical spectrum

I watched a broadcast of Mandleson trying to asume the moral highground over this issue , how many times did he have to resign because of his inability to explain his financial affairs ?

this all goes back to john major and that miserable looking bloke in the white suit.
not sure who was first but both set out to take on sleaze, lot of good that did it has got steadily worse year on year.
I think it goes back much further than that Howard, LLoyd George wasnt exactly squeeky clean and dont get me started on the Great reform bill and why that came about , you know you dont want one of those headaches again
