In East Kent we have 100 years of coal resources.
It would be a valuable asset for an East Kent Council.................. - 30 March 2013 12:44222909With the level of flooding we are currently experiencing, and it looks as if this will continue in the future, is it not economic sense to invest in Hydro Power? We could then build resovouirs and dams to serve thro' times of drought and flood. I stand corrected if my thinking does not make economic sense.

I too, cannot understand why we have spent £millions on thousands of windmills at sea, gambling on wind power, when they could drop the blades into the sea and get guaranteed 23 hrs of tidal power per day?
I am sure it is not that easy or cheap but why was uncertain wind power, chosen over certain tidal power?
