They took enough Tory votes to let enough Lab or Lib Dem candidates get elected via the back door in so many constituencies that instead of a Con majority we have a coalition which is far more pro-Europe than a Tory Government would have been. Vic has admitted on another thread that he effectively got Gordon Cowan elected to County through the back door and has promised not to let it happen again.
