21:0282652it is becoming clear from posts on the member's page and me looking out of my window that the whole area is going to be knee deep in the white stuff by the morning.
it would be good if our early rising posters used this thread to announce which schools, stations, roads etc had been closed.
could save a lot of people making dangerous journeys.

I have a friend who has a farm on the Alkham valley i will get a first hand uppdate on that road aboutt 7am. I will update you at about 7.30 am

21:1182657Ditto - although I have already planned to work from home. Not worth the risj - I have been caught out on the M20/M25/M26 too often now to take the risk if I don't have to!

21:4982671Taxis have just stopped running, I will let you know this evening or very early morning if Dover Girls Grammar School is closed,
I have a sneaky feeling it will be.
My daughter who works out the back end of river has to walk home when she gets relieved (eventualy). A 16 hr shift.

08:2182709Jean's daughter is due to fly home this evening but we hear that Gatwick is closed at least until Friday morning. The M25 wouldn't be fun to be stuck on either.
We're worried that her flight may be diverted to Luton, but there's no way I can get to Luton and she would be stranded there.
We hope she won't fly until weather conditions are better.
