18:4280046i was trying hard to stay as dry as possible, without much success.
left the minute mr ridley finished and spent an hour or so drying out at home.
still only once a year, would have been on my conscience if i had not turned up.

19:1780048There seemed to be a lot more people than last year despite the weather.
The Prince Albert was a suitable shelter for lots of people - good to see you Paul and Briony, hope your lunch was good.
Many met up later in the Yacht Club to get wet inside !
All the elderly standard bearers were a credit to themselves and their regiments and everyone one carried out their duties so well despite the pouring rain.
As you rightly said Terry, well done David Ridley, but also, well done you too.

20:0280050When I was in Morrisons yesterday and bumped into Howard ,I saw that Jammie Dodgers were a bogof. I got them to take today as I know that the deputy town clerk tends to eat them before they are put out. Sadly in the confusion I forgot to take them.
I've just eaten six.

21:1680065My daughter has just informed me Morrisons had the two minute silence today, I had not realised that stores recognised the two minutes on Rememberance Sunday as well as on 11 November.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

23:0380073As a mark of respect I didn't open today, of course this gave me a chance to watch the service at the Cenotaph on the TV. If I'd known so many of you were going to be up at Dover's Cenotaph I'd have come along there... and then to the Prince Albert of course.

23:0680074I was impresses that throughout the BBC radio stations that they all observed the 2 minutes silence including Radio 1 that followed with a quite sensitive song.
Shame the commencial stations - Heart and KMFM didn't do likewise

Been nice knowing you :)
