Carnival Spirit!!
- 13 March 2011 18:5396763I was down there for about an hour and a half, but didn't see you Sheli - not even Dover Carnival Court. I did see a couple of girls from the National Carnival body, but not ours.

I dont think you walked down our aisle, we were on stand 33, I was networking with another stall holder when I saw you from a distance, tried to catch you up but lost you again.
We had a good day, collected a little money for our Carnival handed out loads of Brochures for Western Heights and Crabble Corn Mill, the girls are now well versed in what goes on at both attractions and of course we promoted Dover Carnival and Regatta Weekend.

I stopped to chat to lots of stall-holders, I did look for you and the Carnival girls, but didn't see you at all.
It had some good stalls: Steve Davis with the Prince Albert, shared a stall with Richard Mahony (Whie Cliffs Boat Tours), Tony James (Modern Gent) and I can't remember they otehr guy, it may have been Greg who is organising the Abandoned Dover show at the Prince Albert.
Picked up a few business cards and leaflets and things to follow up.

I must have missed a whole section there as I didn't see some of those in your photo - I met the GM of the Dover Marina Hotel, but not Trevor or their stand; Dover Town Carnival and TSS Dover, probably one or two others as well.
It may have been that I had been talking for too long (what's new ?) and had to go.
It's a good, well organised show and well supported.

Time for a quick update on what we are up to over the next couple of weeks!
Sofie our Court of Dover Queen visited Flying Fish Hovercraft at their Whitfield offices today to collect 2 raffle prizes worth £75.00 each, the lovely guys at Flying Fish have also offered to tow the float at some of our events and will be giving the outgoing Court of 2010 a day to remember - Big Thanks to them xx

Saturday and Sunday 2nd and 3rd April will see the Court of Dover situated outside The Prince Albert (under their lovely new canopy) promoting their selection event on May 14th.
They will be collecting for their Carnival and distributing posters and leaflets generously designed by Davis Davis Design and printed for us by Buckland Media. Thanks to both these local companies for their support.
Thursday 7th April will see the Senior Court opening the new Dance Dedication at Club Dover in Whitfield. If you like to Jive then Dance Dedication is definately for you.
Saturday 9th April will see the Court back at the Prince Albert promoting the Abandoned Dover Exhibition.
Saturday 16th April the whole Court will be back in town collecting for The Royal British Legion and supporting Country Brides of Faversham with their British Legion promotion and Royal Wedding Competition !!
and Wednesday 20th April the Senior Court will be assisting in welcoming guests at a Business Networking Event at Dover Transport Museum.
Busy month for the girls, who are making the most of their remaining time on the Court.
