Tram shelter
Let the vandals win
Rather than try to find a solution
I did offer to go into local schools to explain costs of damage with local councillors no one took up the offer

Bit different from the 60s, when it was roughly every 40 mins from 7am to half ten at night. Of course, fewer people had cars then.

Two of the old boys in the darts/skittles team I play for can no longer get the 2300ish bus from Hollis Motors back into town. Or even get a bus up the town between 7.00pm and 8.00pm

We are almost instructed to use public transport rather than our cars but local buses are removed making that impossible, daft plans from daft people.

had to wait an hour each way for a bus this morning,

Sue I have done that already including our Local MP.
Pointed out no direct route to Dover Leisure Centre, no bus service via snargate during day and money spent on fast track to Whitfield, this could extended to Aycliffe making it from one end of town to the other. Not just serving one part of town

Just when you think it can't get any worse:-
Stagecoach has announced most single and return fares will increase on Sunday - with those in Dover and Deal set to be hit the hardest by the charges - with rises of 40% on a day ticket.

Re Stagecoach hike in fares .Its beyond belief.Maybe If their Buses went where you would expect them to,more people would travel. For instance if they had not cut our link to the old A2 I could have taken a bus to Canterbury .I may have gone into Dover If the bus did not have to go via St Radigunds via Hillside where often the bus meets a HGV,requiring it to reverse all the way back .
Stagecoach spend a lot on advertising ,.Maybe they could recruit more drivers if they increased the wages. On another note I could have caught a bus to Alkham visited the garden Centre and had a spot of lunch. No the link to Folkestone has gone.

I sometimes wonder if the company actually wants to run buses in this area, they certainly seem not want passengers going by their present actions.
