Reg - the simple fact is Brown did do it.... 13 years of destroying our economy.
Back to the thread... I would love it.... The LibDems tarnished by association and their insincerity exposed. A Conservative win at the election that would soon follow would be certain.

what stood out for me was there was very little mention of red ed, almost as if ed b*lls is just assuming the mantle of prime minister.
no change for nick clegg, he would get to keep the same job so it doesn't cost anyone a bean.

The writing is written on the wall: of late, Nick Clegg has been sending a clear message to the Tories. He is saying that the Tories have won on the EU question by way of the veto, that the LibDems gave in on that one.
He's been then making many statements on LibDem policies for the future, mainly internal issues concerning Britain, and it's clear that he wishes to get some of these policies agreed to by the Coalition, in return for having let Dave run the EU issue.
So it is up to the Tory part of the Coalition to listen and agree to let the Libs have a few points to score.
For example to put an end to unelected peerage in the upper house, and to shake up the banking system and review the meaning of capitalism as Nick recently proposed.
Not everything Nick says is wrong, so the Conservatives should agree to some of his proposals.
The Government could govern better with both sides having a share in policy-making rather than blocking each other.
The alternative could be the nightmare of another Labour government.
I personally haven't got time for what Ed Balls or Millyband say, and any thought of that lot getting back in should get alarm bells ringing.

One created by the last Labour government Brian and one that the Conservatives are trying to get us out of......

Much discussion recently about who would run the place if Cameron keeled over. Majority decision: not Clegg.
