19:1987054Sorry Peter, I thought this thread was about the impact on the financial cuts that are taking place, consider my hand well and truly slapped.

You are mixing up the way Conservatives do things with Labour, yet again.
The Conservative Party does not tell people whether they can or cant post and seeing as Nigel is the Chairman your comment really is proven to be no more than your usual silly stirring with no basis of reality.

i presume you refer to my posting ref missing nigel
not rest of post as per the original heading.
just on the missing nigel bit, as iv posted before missing nigel was one of many tories(including yourself barryw) making wild accusations about labour being gagged, totally untrue.
then no sooner had missing nigel been elected to kcc he dissappeared stopped posting, gagged by tories.
obviously because there was such an outcry and missing nigel getting such a bad name the local tories have allowed missing nigel to post.
of course the recent kcc election result will also have had an effect as missing nigel now looks like his time is running out

i think you have made your point about "missing nigel", any more references like that would just seem to be a vendetta.
nigel is hardly likely to post regularly again if he thinks that is the case.

10:4387108It IS utter balls Keith and you know it.
When Ken was an important member of the Labour party, I seem to remember he confirmed on here that you were gagged.
Nigel or anyone else from the Conservatives have never been gagged as you call it, or told not to post on here, or even what to post; we are not and never have been controlled by dic-tats from our Central office.
Nigel is an importamt member at KCC and can provide us all with useful Kent County Council information; your constant jibes will encourage him to stop posting again and they will also call into question your supposed "impartiality", which we all know to be false anyway.

21:0487188roger is right on this one.
susan is deputy/vice/stand in chair person, so she has to be apolitical in her statements.

21:2587193firstly and most importantly
I WILL NOT I REPEAT I WILL NOT BE A CANDIDATE AT NEXT MAY' ELECTIONS
secondly
i nor any other labour was eve gagged by the labour party nor would i ever have been so its complete tosh rogrer
what you cant have roger and barryw is one way arguments
it's desperation
after the last kcc election result nigel knbows his number is up
and poob been told this so many times
forumites(including our sue)have said nigel shuld have posted at the vrery start of the toilets fiasco and it would have died down very quickly
me personally i dont care if nigel posts oir not
its nice if he does, but if he makes excuses why he wont thats fine
i understand the newly elected kcc member for dover will be posting a report monthly soon anyway

an excellent post, sorry to hear you are not standing next may, many people round here still think that you are their councillor.
on the negative side, can you please lay off nigel?
we all want to hear what our elected representatives have to say, especially at the far distant kent county council.
it is very difficult for paulb to get leading politicos to post, we can criticise their actions and statements but not hound them.

21:5387203howard
when people ask me questions like am i standing next may i answer them
(unlike others on forum)
have to say i enjoyed helping gordon in his campaign to get re elected
and as a friend of mine was very pleased at the result which will be built upon.
i understand gordon will be sending a monthly or 2 monthly report to the forum
so i hope you are consistent with your latest views howard when this happens.
im out of the ring(as vic would say lol) as putting up for council for a number of reasons some of the reasons being;
1; don't have the time to commit to being a cllr
2;not a member of a political party and would only stand for labour party
but won't be standing for any party or indies
3; done my 25 years get less for murder lol
4; enjoy helping candidates that i like may not always be labour candidate
5; i can now dip in and out of politics as i want

22:0287204thanks for that info keith, i hope you are right about gordon bringing us up to speed.
as i said previously events at maidstone are not reported to us, we are lucky to have two excellent councillors of different colours representing us there.
our members and lookers in would be grateful for updates from the seat of power.

22:1687205he wil be contacting paulb soon so i understand
hope you picked up on rest of my post.
there was an onslaught against labour cllrs not posting all those years ago
certainly the labour party would not or could not ever gagg me or any other cllr
there was never any truth in it
what do find is the double standards
i realise there are a number of tory activists on here but there needs to be an even playing field
