you have maintained all along that the blues had no interest in who would be the next reds leader.
now you have backtracked and said that ed would have been the preferred opponent of the blues.
should ed be a "tool of the unions" it may be to the advantage of the reds, many of the people sacked by the blues will be in public sector union, not only that the public will see ed as being on the side of the underdog.
this perception has been missing under the auspices of tony and gordon, could be interesting times over the next year or two.
i suspect the back room boys at central office are mulling this over as i type.

22:1472519#11. With that stupid face, I`m sure he`ll have a rosy future in modern day television from what I`ve seen in recent years.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

22:2472522Howard. I have looked on with considerable disinterest, I am sure CCHQ will have been taking a great deal of interest.
The public sector vote is not the key battleground here. To be elected Labour will need the votes of middle England that Blair was able to attract, Red Ed will not attract them.

ed will not be another michael foot, different eras, different ages too.
i feel sure that you are shrewd enough to know that, it is all about image .
can you really imagine ed at the cenotaph with a bad haircut and a duffle coat?
tony blair set a modern precedent about presentation which your party has followed, hence dave rather than that davies cove.

08:0772554DC was about more than that Howard.
My likening him tio Foot was more in respect of his electoral prospects than the duffle coat.... He is abandoning the middle ground and is in hoc to the Unions. He is tainted by failure and was a fairly useless Minister.
