21:0772354That is the rumour in Westminster, banana man beaten by his baby brother to lead Labour.
A lurch to the left, NuLab out and OldLab in - good, this will make it easier to keep that rabble of incompetent loons out of government for a generation at least.
Pity in a way - some great photos were available of bananaman that make William Hague's baseball cap look statesmanlike by comparison. Would have been fun and chances are we would have had the same result with Labour left in the wilderness anyway. Just easier this way with baby brother in charge after a rather yawn making 'contest'.
We will know for sure Saturday I believe....

21:1672361No Keith - I dont keep posting and have mostly ignored what has been a very long and boring process. Two posts on my blog only, apart from this. One of those was about the weird Labour idea of democracy when Batty Hatty has 4 votes and Mr Batty Hatty another 3...

21:2072363The names are irrelivant Colin, its only dull Labour Party stuff about a bunch of third raters, two of whom are brothers trying to get the leadership. Big brother, who had a terrible accident with a banana in the presence of a photographer and was favourite, seems to have been beaten by his baby brother. Frankly I can't remember which brother is which, I can only remember the banana and Hilary Clinton's love lorn looks. Maybe Labour's electorate had a similar problem....

21:2272364What we all look forward to is a good opposition party that builds on the 3 seats won by labour from the tories in exeter
and the unexpected seat won in Norwich.
Labours on the way back, but 18 months will soon pass, so they should be prepared

08:1372407I once met the 'banana building society robber'. He got 7 years in chokey ville for holding up a number of Nationwide Bdg Societies by brandishing a banana at staff and demanding they hand over their loot. Had he used a gun he would have received 5 years but the Judge Lord Whatshisname thought the banana to be more terrifying and as is was a non EC regulated Fyffe bent banana slapped him with 7 years. He lost his appeal to have the sentence reduced as he was deemed to be a fruit short of a salad. true story...honest

11:027243138,000 new members since the last election suggests that they are not heading to oblivion.
will be interesting to see if that rise continues after the announcement of the new leader this afternoon.

the 38,000 signed up when there was no leader except in the initial stages when gordon was still in charge, which i doubt encouraged many to join.
