There are some very good site skilled workers from over seas as well as our own but we must look after our own first to stop all what is going on is to put all workers from the unskilled to the most skilled all on the same pay scale of UK Workers.

Vic.
How's your knee?
Our 12 Apprentices at EKR are progressing well and its great to see them turn up with a smile on their faces and enjoying what they are doing.
We are hoping to introduce welding at some point in the future, maybe you could help with that somewhere along the line and I am sure they would benefit with an informal chat with you over a coffee, sometime.
Life experience is something worth passing onto these lads, especially now that they have direction and ambition.

Young people certainly need tuition in life experiences, of all kinds, including learning crafts and trades.

Does anyone know of a local company that can supply about 20-30 tonnes of 20mm diameter limestone ballast, please?
This is for EKR's new miniature railway and is a job for our Apprentices.

Bretts are about the only people in this area who might have such specialised stuff, I would think. Unless you can nick it bit by bit from beside the main line at Shepherdswell.
