Well, I knew about it but only because it was discussed at a recent Tattoo meeting.
I don't know if the CoC were involved but it was Roger Knight's (RK Graphics') initiative. Certainly it should have had a higher profile although I must admit that I'm not entirely sure what it meant to achieve or who it was aimed at.

what public there are vic.
not many around earlier and there is not much reason to visit market square otherwise.
not long ago there were vintage cars on display that would have interested many if they had known they were there.

Apparently there was a craft fair at Biggin Hall this morning where we had a stall, it was a complete waste of our time especially as we were stuck up on the stage
.

Yes is the answer. This is a new business venture from Roger Knight (a Chamber Board member) I was there this morning for a formal opening and am participating in it. It is in the early stages currently and will start its rounds fully in March. For now they are promoting the project.
Any room for another participant?! I didn't know about it but am keen to support local businesses, especially as I am one!

sounds like it is by invitation only otherwise barry would have mentioned it on here.
Ah, then it has my moral support.
How very weird..........

Bern - Roger is just starting to market and build up his project and while it is off to a flying start I do believe there is still plenty of scope for you.

Just returned to the thread to emphasise that this is a business project, its marketing. I have subscribed to it at a cost of £350 per annum though there are a range of different packages to suit different needs.
It is not 'invitation only' as someone suggested and right now they are at an early stage, building subscribers. It is an interesting initiative by a local and very successful businessman.

I had an email about it from Roger and I do believe it is an excellant idea - promoting and marketing local business.
It will be travelling around East Kent Towns every Saturday to promote businesses in those Towns.
My only concern is the cost of membership of this - minimum is £450, going upwards to over £1000 a year.
Many small businesses can't afford these kinds of sums of money, every business has to consider what will work for them - what is value for money.
It could be viewed as competition to Chambers of Commerce, Dover Forum and any other organisation that has a cost for membership; there's only so much money that small businesses can afford.
Having said that I wish Roger well with it and hope it works for those businesses that pay to belong to it.
