Cheers Brian, it does blow off the field and cause problems drifting, there was some bad areas yesterday until the snow plough cleared them.

Non-existent I would think.
I have asked Kent Highways at the JTB meetings if all bus routes could be cleared as a priority - sadly not, as some bus routes are a higher priority than others (number of users I would think).
Most, if not all bus users rely on them to purchase their food stuffs as well get to work.

How is the local radio doing in this time of crisis? Bus Route news, foodstuff bucket-chains organised? We are 'enjoying' a constant dusting today, but the road traffic is helping to keep their own way clear.
It is time to trim the fat off the bacon and scatter suet about, or make little heaps of the stuff anyway.
Special screenings of The Great Escape on the telly?

no bus on a sunday anyway, thought the maxton/elms vale would have priority as it receives council tax funding.

I feel just like a cave man
I feel just like a cave man
a forebear from so long ago
now that my hunting ground
is covered everywhere in snow
I peep out from my deer-skin flap
and drink deeply-in the scene
I sniff the air and scan for signs
of where my din-din's been
Tis a simple thing now to discern
the movements of all beasts
and choose a likely candidate
to come join me in my feasts
I gird my loins and shoulder arms
and in leaky fur-boots out-creep
carefully I trek on behind the herd
wisely, down wind of them I keep
Soon I know I must make my move
and bring my chosen target down
alas, the sign says, "No milk today"
it's the same at every shop in town.

Don't laugh - today's weather forecast according to Kent on Sunday - "sun and a few snow showers."

There's a bus currently reversing down Brookfield Avenue, so it looks like that route might be in trouble!

We've had a couple of snowploughs go up and down Sandwich Road this lunchtime. A Council one and I assume a local farmer with one attached to the front of his tractor.

Whitfield roads are really bad, Sandwich and Archers Court both should be avoided.
