The much troubled but talented singer died earlier today. She was only 27 years old. What a shame.

In comparison with the Norway shootings I am going to say one less junky does not really matter.

A wasted talent, sad really - do you know what she died from Marek ? A drugs overdose ?
Incidentally, it was Winehouse, not Whitehouse.

27 is a shocking age to die, i know little about her other than that she was famous, talented and had drug and alcohol problems.

I know she was an addict but I knew her before she was famous, we used to drink at the same pubs in Camden Town North London. She was so talented but alas was deeply troubled. May she RIP.

Must agree with you Jan Hope they don't cremate her, or every one there will get stoned on the fumes, It is appalling, that this sort of thing, takes over the awful killings in Oslo that were not self afflicted.

I am truly sorry for the tragedy in Oslo; my heart goes out to them. But I knew Amy from way back. It hurts when you know the person that has died. I can still picture her in the tiny beer garden of the Hawley Arms before going off to see her Nan in Golders Green.
I was shocked but not surprised at the news. It is sad to hear of any young wasted life being snuffed out.

That's terrible shame, she had so much talent, another wasted life taken away, so short R.I.P.

Any death is someones tragedy, whatever the age and whatever the circumstances. We sometimes lose sight of that, sadly.

The tragedy is not her death but the events which led to it. She was a victim of the celebrity alcohol/drugs/promiscuity scene. She was a role model to many teenagers and her death might just make a few of her fans reconsider their lives and save themselves from the same fate.
