Speaking of Cllr Dimmock, I do recall you and Cllr Precious pledging your financial support as DT councillors prior to the event. Now, about that then....you haven't got away with it just yet you know.

Single fastest ascent then a team event fancy dress etc. Send it out to extreme sport clubs Ultra runners , triathletes and locval social clubs. It could becomne an annual event. Rather like the stair climbing events in the USA. We could even have a forum team

i would have thought it easier for people just to slip some money in the bucket if they visit the event or if not post a cheque on the day that they make the pledge.
