As far as I can tell, Vic does not need to have anything changed on the UKIP list of councillors if he has not joined another political party in place of UKIP.
Being a UKIP member at the time he became councillor justifies the UKIP councillors list.

Alexander;
you are missing the point
it was indicated that he was an indy
when in fact he was part of a political party(ukip)

What a storm in a teacup, this situation is as daft and unimportant to the vast majority as the Gay Marriage farce.

Jan;
its how you mislead,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
to go to the electorate to say im an indy
when in fact your part of a political party using there leaflets, sponsorship by them is misleading
people vote thinking your independent of political parties

Still a storm in a teacup which you keep stirring, if push comes to shove even the most politically neutral Independent will lean one way or the other.

If you follow the link I posted on the previous page to the discussion that was ongoing during the local elections, I criticised Vic at the time for the same reasons Keith and Howard are pointing out now, he was using UKIP leaflets and promoting the UKIP local election manifesto while being the local chairman of UKIP but apparently standing as an independent (and I still don't understand where he stands now, maybe the meeting Howard has mentioned will put out a press release and all will become clear).
However, in fairness to Vic I have to say that in all the meetings I have been at with him in the last two years he has not once promoted any party political agenda, just his own - maybe that makes things less confusing, maybe not!

it remains confusing ray,
and misleading,,,,,,
now probably unable to compete with the main parties on the number of leaflets produced, and to use up old ukip leflets
they were probably used to save costs
but misleading your either indy, or ukip

What sad lives some have,if all they can find to do is talk about Vic Matcham and what he is or not doing,my wife said that I must feel sorry for them and not getup set,and like always she is right.Sorry I am feeling very sorry for the both of you at this time,and hope you will get over it one day, and find a better life.like the rest of us,but it is very very sad, and boring to all the other members of the Dover forum.
