Whatever happened, it hasn't spread to Folkestone Road, which is just round the corner from Belgrave Road. Probably a storm in a tea-cup

alex
the carnival route was quite a basic one, westbury road down belgrave road left into longfield road then back to belgrave road.
after that point the revellers seemed to go off in all directions.

We had a crowd of yoofs kicking off close to midnight in Dolphin Lane. A call to the police generated a text with a reference number but, apparently, sweet foxtrot alpha apart from that.

even before the problems elsewhere

the reason that the police were not in evidence in dolphin lane was probably because other incidents were kicking off at the same time, saturday night and all that, my event was well before closing time hence the big turnout so quickly.
that's right about the police presence locally keith, no real problems that i know of but it makes people feel better about things.
ryan is always around, seems to have bags of energy and enthusiasm.
