We came back from Folkestone today wanting to go to Samphire Hoe, so drove through Capel expecting to get back on the A20.
But the entry slip this side of Capel is blocked off, and that silly sign that Ken mentions is still there, though the trucks are being diverted that way at night. Madness.

The amount of litter at that roundabout and on the slip roads is disgraceful.

There is now a 40 m.p.h limit, enforced by average speed cameras, from around a mile before the Hougham turnoff. I presume it goes all the way along but I turned off down Folkestone Road. The spped limit didn't seem to register with a Dutch van driver, though!

Aren't they a bit far from the roundabout?
There seem to be too many as well.

We are all critical of the litter on the A20 when'stack' is in operation, but on Tuesday I drove on the A3 and was horrified by the amount of litter on the verges, and all the traffic on the road is moving not stationary. Truck drivers cannot be blamed for the A3 litter just motorists with a total disrespect for the environment.

Even the back roads have litter and as you point out Ken cannot blame truck drivers for that. Even saw a mattress in the Alkham valley, but that got taken away within couple days.
