This is rather later being advertised than it should be, but they had delays over venue availability etc. I would be grateful if everyone could spread the word....
Last year's was a great success and a really great evening.

Thank you Ian for the information, even before anyone told me officially!!!
Sad this but inevitable given the circumstances. I will be dealing with the refunds and have the records/contact details in my office.

Vic, there are costs involved and the ticket price depends on that. Last year we sold 169 tickets at the same price. Sadly due to events outside the control of the committee there was just not enough time for ticket sales to 'take off' and I think the failure of the local papers to print anything on Thursday was the final straw. As of last night sales were in single figures!
I feel particularly sorry for Andrew Dorrell who put in a lot of work, as the new chairman, in trying to get this up and running.

Yes, it's a great shame this had to be cancelled and even sadder as it was such a resounding success last year. Pity they had delays on the venue availability which probably hindered local paper deadlines for last Thursdays editions. Hopefully as Maggie says above, maybe next year.

It was nothig to do with the venue availibty .It has been in my diary for some weeks as I was due to take to the stage .The local pressi did not advertise it .the show deserved more support .
