Very good just hope they get the trades they need local good welders are not that easy to get at this time but if the wages are good then they will get the kind of persons they need.

Plenty of good Polish welders around @ near minimum wage. But why the hard hats and hi-vis? Were they expected to do some work?

A year or so ago, some of us (Councillors and officers) took a tour of the District and one of the places we went to, was Multipanel. A very good company that came to the Dover District from China - they didn't have to, they chose too.
They will be using local talent and local businesses.

That is very good but the skills must be in place local to do that .
It is all about wages when we talk about skilled person you will not get welders working for £6 per hour. There is lots of good unskilled workers about and young ones that will pick skills up if they are given the time. That is what I am trying to get across at EKR.To old and unfit to do it myself but we can pass on the skills we have had over many years.
