No doubt Cllr Watkins wil be commenting on this, now this is GREAT news, as opposed to the freezing of car parking, which is NO news.
No idea who deserves the plaudits and don't care tbh, its very positive. If it does have your fingerprints on it Paul then bravo.
Now about the DTIZ.......

My input small, just required to comment and re- inforce growth message.
Meeting Andrew Cock, the man responsible for Multipanels at 2.00pm.
We just helped oil the wheels when a few difficulties were presented.
Tim Ingleton doing what he does best.

Well done Paul, now point Mr Cock in our direction for the new stationery he'll need.
Keep it local

Excellent news; hope the 50 jobs means 50 new vacancies, not 50 minus those employees brought in from elsewhere?

Just returned from meeting Andrew Cock.
He has just offered employment to two local people directed to him by a local employment agency.
What local means to Mr Cock may mean wider than Dover [I don't know].
He described his product as manufacturing panels from exteriors of glossy BMW showrooms[example] to presentational panels that deal with graphic displays.
He is interested in meeting local businesses that can support and live off his business activitities.
He needs to be competitive to match overseas challenges & grow his market.
When he is further down the road of set up we will organise opportunities for local firms to network with him.
His market is UK & Europe.
Local logistic firms may just be interested in the empty return loads to Europe.
Lots of business cluster opportunities for competitive businesses.
Local is his aim.

Excellent, those are mostly good signs. Other local businesses need to get off their bums and investigate the possibilities. And local potential employees too. The last thing we need is Mr Cock being forced to go to East European gangmaster agencies because local people don't like the wages on offer.

Well hopefully there will be 50 more English-speaking local jobs available in Dover and District with this decision.

Our American cousins are attracted to British tv period drama and our monarchy 'en masse', maybe they want to go back to pre 'Boston Tea Party' days of yore
