The Waverley Leaving Dover friday morning 11.30am: The Waverley is an old and exciting paddle steamer. According to the local newspapers she is the very last ocean going paddle steamer. This morning hundreds gathered to board her at Terminal 2 for a very pleasant voyage to Tower Bridge in London. Weather was good, sea was calm, yes indeed... a calm sea and a prosperous voyage for all. A glass of champagne on the foredeck would suit right now! Pack my spatz and plus fours Jeeves!
