Canvassing is more about rallying the faithful than gaining converts.

I do not agree Mr Garstin the faithfull will turnout anyway it is the voter who changes their mind at each election and that counts for most of the public at this time. And to do that you must go to parts of the district where they live. This is where UKIP might do well because they do not have any wards or parishs that they can call their own their support comes from them all reds or blue wards .But I do think that UKIP hit the top with voters at the wrong time if it had been about now it would have been better for them.Already the public are getting sick of all the talk going on about the election and fedup.

I heard Lord Patten yesterday say that UKIP had peaked and their support will fall away leading up to the election. He was more concerned about Ed Miliband who he rated as a good debater.

Well there you are,but do not agree about Ed Miliband if anything he is costing the reds votes.

True - campaigning is what gets you new voters, canvassing identifies them.
Interesting read
here on how the bloke who wants to be Prime Minister was outdone in financial negotiations by a 10 year old.

Definitely interesting Ray.
A rather damning read when you think that the writer is a Labour supporter, from that extract it seems Ed is as much of an ignorant of the real world toff as Cameron maybe even more.

Do you mean the audience? Fair number of faces I did not recognise; was timely to be having this discussion with people affected by issues within NHS and social care sector.

Not so sir the reds get out and about the most in the town and district and if trying got you power they would walk it. But that is not the case they shot them selfs in the foot this time by making it ladys only standing at the election.Ad not moving into place like Maxton and RIVER but keep going to award that is reds anyway. But noway is that a kicking just a point of view .

Things tend to even things out politically on the forum, at one time Keith and Reg were Red all over, Roger made it true blue then UKIP exploded into life and disappeared as fast as they arrived.

Team Clair were out in force in Aylsham this morning, normally a staunch red area but UKIP has made big inroads of late.

Shadow immigration minister David Hanson MP was in town today with Clair, he had talks with the RNLI and Border Force but most importantly he went on the knocker in Clarendon Place.
Please not that the blue house on the right is where the bloke who knocked down my front wall lives.
