Last night, going home to Eythorne at around 9.45pm, the only way I could find out of Dover without a traffic jam was up Old Charlton Road via Guston.

We came back from Ashford at 10.30 pm last night and it was chaos. Couldn't find any way of getting to the seafront and The Gateway from any of the routes through the town. Finally had to go up to Whitfield and down Jubilee Way. Took us 2 hours to get home from Ashford. Be warned!

The Roadworks go on...
Surprised to find large teams moving onto the seafront on saturday night and around about 8pm they all swung into action moving onto the main road. Eastbound was completely closed as you can see in the pictures here...where the traffic went I don't know this time..

From what Stagecoach say, yes, as the 60A is diverting via Temple Ewell between River and Kearsney. Thanks for the warning - I was going to go that way to Folkestone tomorrow!

When I came back from Folkestone I was amused to see some drivers who had zig-zagged past the Road Closed signs having to try to do U-turns to come back where the road really was blocked (access had been allowed to Kearsney Station)

Could do with some roadworks/pot-hole repairs out the lanes through Hougham.I came through there an hour ago, wish i,d gone the other way now,a car came towards me on a corner at a fair speed,i pulled over to avoid it and hit a very deep pot-hole causing the tyre to burst.I changed the wheel and found its also damaged the rim which is alloy and not repairable so its off to the breakers tomorrow for another. What a day!
