    Yes I stayed there when on the run for a few days from the army years ago.

    I remember it well. I used to meet up with friends there when I came to Dover from Folkestone.

    I installed the heating system there around 1986, then took it out again a year later. Had a fantastic time working in Dove Stage Hotel on and off for a year. A Receptionist called Lesley, unfortunately do not remember her surname, worked there, who made the days go by with a laugh. Great apprenticeship for me, I was 17 at the time. Anyone remember the receptionist? I think the cook was Barry, also I remember Ian Whittaker, scared the stuffing out of me!

    Probably one of the most interesting pieces of post-war architecture in Dover - and we knocked it down! A great shame that only safe bland designs seem to be submitted to DDC nowadays (with a few exceptions you could count on the fingers of one hand)

    God the nights I had in there it was terrible to destroy such a place. WHO DID IT?
