    interesting post john, we will have to agree to disagree over the nationality issue i can remember back as young as ten and getting excited when england won any sporting event.

    i used to knock around with a south african lady in the 1990's and they are like our american friends and claim an identity from generations back, she claimed to be scottish because her great grandmother hailed from dundee!! kept telling her friends i was irish despite my cockney accent.

    in the event of you and your new lady wife being "blessed with issue" i feel sure your son/daughter would consider her/himself as dovorian english.
