Hi everyone!
I just wanted to let you know that unfortunately the time has come to close the forum. It will still be available to read and look back on, but new posts will be disabled from this coming weekend.
I'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has contributed or visited the forums over the years, we've had quite the mix of discussions and personalities!

Sad news. Been on here since 2012. Imagine it's been going much longer than that.

Understandable Chris, it is a shame but totally understandable.
Thank you for the time and energy you have given to keep it running over the years.
Good luck to you for the future, hopefully a little less policing involved!
Reg.

Would it be possible to freeze the forum whilst retaining the contributors' names, rather than have them "degrade" to the Guest nnn format?

I,ve enjoyed being part of this forum but it doesn't surprise me it's come to an end.Not sure if it's due to more posting on Facebook etc or what.Found it very interesting back in the early days but with fewer members posting it's difficult to find any topics of interest anymore.I wish all the best to all remaining members. Many thanks.

Being a long time member this is sad news but not entirely surprising with so few taking an active part recently.
Thank you Chris for putting up with us for so long.
Edit, what will the prolific Captain do now with his time.

Thank you Chris for providing the opportunity to post on what has been a lively forum in the past.
I suspect some of us have not posted as often as we would like due to age (old?), which to some of us has meant spending more time in a carers role!
Best wishes for the future to you and all those on here that have provided interesting posts and whose avatars have, except for Victor and Captain, only provided mysterious visions of what the posters might look like!
