"Countries within the EU may indeed have the appearance of being Independent and democratic but this of course is just to keep the natives happy."
And are the 'natives' here to have it otherwise after an 'out' vote? Funny, it never looked like it before we joined.
" Each and every one of those governments have themselves limited and restricted powers and has no option but to abide with the many dictats from the Brussels parliament."
Governments, by their very nature, are restricted in what they can decide;this is no less true for those with an unwritten, as well as those with a written, constitution.

It appears that the 'in/out' referendum is the nose-tip horizon, beyond which lies only palm-trees and the balmy breezes. And where, perhaps, we shall each have a television set into our tummies.
