'The war' was going on in 2016, VM; perhaps you just didn't notice. What bigger mess could the UK as part of the EU have made than the one they have already made 'apart'?
As for earthquakes, do you think the UK's rejoining the EU would result in more or fewer sanctions on Syria than the EU has already imposed?
