Apart from Tory loss of face that would be a clever idea then Labour could be on the receiving end of all the money problems rather than them. They could sit opposite at Westminster and say 'we would not have done it like that' as Labour do now.
If Tories want even a remote chance of winning the next election Truss must go now, they must then choose a new leader the public might respect and like rather than just from that small Westminster clique.
