I am fully aware what this is all about, Howard.
Evidently you would like to see me give in and "agree" to the current prevailing attempt from the commissars that make decisions for the United states of Europe, which is to inundate Britain and Western Europe with hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees.
Much more importantly, you fail to see into what I have clearly stated, that Syrian refugees can be sheltered in their own country until such time as they can return to their homestead (village, town, city) of origin. The British Government DOES NOT WANT THIS! It would mean peace returning to Syria because certain governments could not continue funding and sponsoring the insurgency war there.
The only one reason why they may be impeded being sheltered temporarily in, say, Damascus, which currently is not under siege, or other Syrian areas currently not under siege by insurgents and terrorists, is because foreign governments are purposefully supplying funds and weapons to these insurgents and terrorists to maintain maximum terror in Syria, with the aim of conquering the whole country.
For example, the Saudi regime (is it a"government"?), or the Qatari one, or, oh, the US or British leaderships.
If we followed the weird logic the commissars are trying to impose, the West should take in at least 15 million Syrians! The vast majority of Syrians are currently at risk of falling to an assortment of rebels and Al Qaeda terrorists.
To start solving the problem, we need to refer W. Hague to a Court of Justice.
Denounce the Saudi and Qatari regime, demand the Turkish government cease allowing the passage of weapons to the insurgents and terrorists, and help the Syrian State rebuild the destroyed houses and infrastructure.
If we followed the advice you are trying to bring over, this will go on, and on, and on, and the same New World Order people will do the same to other countries, and not only will millions of Syrians be - and remain - refugees, but tens and hundreds of millions more may become so too, wherever the same usual people in certain governments ignite and sponsor insurgency and uproar in whichever country they choose to pick on and bring down
