    This has been on the cards for some time we saw it in Clacton when an individual made great strides with UKIP then was dumped to give Carswell a good run. We were told that by-election rules were different to other elections.

    Not true Neil Hamilton was parachuted in to an Essex constituency against the wishes of the members and I keep reading that this is happening all over.
