    The Maltese government brought in a new law last year offering citizenship with accompanying passport for people with a decent wedge. Not too many questions asked after money has changed hands which means that all sorts of ne'er do wells now have access to free movement throughout the EU.

    Watch other poorer EU states follow suit and who can blame them.
