And if you all vote Conservative tomorrow, then we can have the referendum and put a stop to all these future fears once and for all.

The rich corporations and big business want to stay in the EU, and that's exactly what the conservatives will do rig the referendum to stay in, supported by the labour party .

The referendum is a bit of a nonsense, as each year passes the voters don't remember what it was like not to be in the EU.
If and when it is held our leaders and their cohorts will put the wind up those who would previously have voted to leave.

I don't believe that the referendum is nonsense at all.
The biggest scare-mongering will be about trade, but I absolutely don't believe that for one minute.
There won't be any rigging either; whether it is promoted that we leave or not, the choice will be ours.

Too soon to say Keith, the enabling legislation for the referendum will specify who is eligible. Unless you know something we don't? But most of them would vote OUT. Past immigrant groups have always been the keenest to pull up the drawbridge behind them, once they have their feet under the table.

Governments tend to get the result they want in referendums, the one where we voted to stay in the EU the big money and heavyweight politicians were on the yes side and 3/4 of the literature through the door backed this up. The AV referendum was doomed to fail because the two main parties would have lost out.

Liberals where wet to trust him.

I thought the referendum was dependent on renegotiation of our deal with Europe, our (the voter) view on whether that has happened is not going to be considered, so it will remain upto David, and he's only going to put it to the vote if he's sure he'll get the result he wants.
Considering how duplicitous they all are I'm amazed anyone believes the referendum is a certainty, especially people who are in the politics game. Have you forgotten the rules of the game you joined?
