Gently as we go here - Boris is now toxic among his MPs and his star fallen. Push too hard now and get rid, you end up with a competent Sunak ahead of 2024. Now, if I'm thinking that, so will Tory MPs....

The time is now for Starmer; with a new front bench and a government all over the place, he now needs to present his vision for a better future.

Sadly the front bench (and hence the most likely successors to our current habitual liar of a leader) are all servile lickspittles who have helped foist this blithering hypocrite upon the populace in the first place.

They did nothing about 'eyetest' Cummings or 'hands, face, arse' Hancock when the facts emerged. Some may be jockeying for position but I see no reason why that should fill anyone with any comfort.

At a local level, I wonder how 'spineless' Natalie will react. She'll probably keep schtum, I suspect. Just keep blaming asylum seekers and the French and she's on a pretty easy wicket.
