  This whole fiasco has just confirmed to the public that all political parties are full of a mix of charlatans, incompetents, chancers, hypocrites, snake oil salesman, crooks and the very odd individual of principle.
  
  Whilst for most of my adult life politicians have been held generally in low regard, the current level of anger and contempt felt towards them is astounding. Sadly it is something they have brought upon themselves.
  
  Perhaps the only answer now is to create new parties...
