Bob, Peter. Politics is about adaptability, doing the deal.

Most parties agree on the main policies with adjustments. It is the idealistic social policy & where states intervene that divides. Consequently that is also how taxation rears its head. At what level should we spend our own money or the state taxes & runs our lives for us.

You see this is what concerns me. You have been in local politics for decades, leader of the council for years, and you talk of "adaptability" and "doing the deal".

Where are your principles? Where is your vision? What are your beliefs?

I'm sorry Paul I've said this to you before, you're only interested in doing what you have to in order to stay in power. Dover is a basket case and you publicly state:

"You get the best deal and move on".

The reason May lost a majority is because nobody knows what she stands for or believes in. I'm afraid that applies to you too.
