It has been funny Paul w
When I look at past labour guys
Some may not him but John bird was one of local labours best chairpersons but sadly Eddy and Wallace plotted against him to get him out.
Eddy caused a lot of issues internally dividing the party .
He was a bully for 13 years leader of labour KCC
Yet left lab to join greens saying he was bullied
Taste of his own medicine ?

Well we can only hope .I would be surprised if Our MP will feature in the new cabinet.New Prime Minister is cut from a very different cloth I don’t think she will suffer fools.?She has her own style .Behind that demure look a mind of Steele .

I think quite the opposite She
In front of cameras she looks weak .
Any type of questioning she doesn't look good .
She may last the two years

Not really NE related, but on the strength of the new PM - the first test will be Johnson related. The Johnson fan club, led by Dorries, will demand that the Parliamentary inquiry is dropped by the PM and ask that the PM support this. If Truss has an ounce of sense, she'll know this is part of the grand plan to bring him back and by not giving in, she can finish him off and remove that threat. What will she do? Watch this space....

I sincerely hope and believe Boris has as much chance of regaining power as Trump does in the USA however much they may try.
In a small way I feel sorry for Truss she has had so much to think about and sort out since her meeting with our much respected Queen Elizabeth.

Johnson will always be in her rear view mirror - the party is obsessed with him. Look at yesterday, all the media coverage was on his speech and not hers. But Johnson could always charm the birds from the trees with speeches, the problem was that it was always a lie...

Truss is in the Boris camp and I don't agree he makes a good speech , upon close scrutiny he falls apart

I guess a speech and interview are separate things....
The Eddie Mair "Two Ronnies" Queens Speech interview will always be my lasting impression of Johnson

Fun fact.
As of today MPs have sat for 6 days since July 21, including 2 to commemorate the Queen.
Nice work, if you can get it!

Even if you take their summer hols into account, no one could say they earn their money through hard graft.

She's got a podcast!
'This summer getaway was the first time we’ve seen more than 10,000 vehicles cross the Channel since Brexit. It was a major test of the system during a very busy part of the year — and while there was some congestion during peak times, overall traffic ran a lot more smoothly, largely thanks to many weeks of joint working with partners such as the Port of Dover, Kent Highways, and Kent Resilience Forum. In the first episode of my community podcast, I am joined by Doug Bannister, Chief Executive of the Port of Dover'.
