In reply to Neil's comment I will play Devil's Advocate with the following as I am a little bored.
When in power all parties popularity tends to drop if the population believe all the doom and gloom being spouted by the media, if the problem sorts itself out before the next election all is forgiven. In this case the Conservatives have had Covid and power problems to deal with both of which were unpredictable but have had a huge impact on our lives and finances. All we can do now is wait to see how this new finance strategy works out, only time will tell if it is right or wrong.
