  I could have done pages more but you did ask .
  
  I have followed Dover FC since the 60s through the good and bad times .
  
  I'm supportive of any thing to improve Dover , but openly critical if the need arises.
  
  One humorous thing ........
  Sue will know I was asked to stand for labour in a Tory stronghold seat as a paper candidate .
  It was such a stronghold even the labour group had written the seat off .
  
  During the campaign diesel Johnny those who know him told me the Tory candidate had fallen out with the party.
  John Ullman said he would put my labour placards on farms
  It appeared open warfare was going on in the local Tory party.
  With 3 candidates (an unknown lib dem stood)
  It was announced the lib dem had won by 200
  A shock in itself
  I asked the labour agent if he could check the result as I would find it amazing if the lib dem won
  After re checking the returning officer called candidates and apologised and said they got some of the lab and lib dem votes muddled up and lab had actually won by 200
  Do I went to county hall labour group who said they had written the seat off and were now having to re do all the committee's as the result affected how many cllrs sat on each committee
  The returning officer was apologetic all night lol
